AN UPDATE FOR OUR PATIENTS

Life has been anything but normal this spring and we sincerely hope you and your family are in good health. We are happy to inform you that we are now able to once again provide dental care for you and your family. The Ministry of Health has lifted the restrictions placed back in March. While many things have changed since then, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health and safety.

Our office has always followed strict infection control standards and in order to keep us all protected during this pandemic and in the future, we have updated our protocols. When we see you at your next appointment, things will be a little different.

Here's what you will need to do as per the recent directives from the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario:

  • You must be COVID symptom-free. You will be screened via a quick health questionnaire over the phone when your appointment is booked. 

  • Please bring completed copies of the Patient Screening Questionnaire and the COVID-19 Informed Consent Form. Both forms can be found below. If you are unable to print these forms we will have copies available at the office, but please bring your own pen.

  • Give us a call when you arrive. You will be asked to wait in your car and we will give you a call back when we are ready for your appointment. 

  • You must be wearing your own mask when entering the office.

  • You will be asked to sanitize your hands and our staff will be taking your temperature. 

 

Other changes to our office include:

  • Our staff will be wearing more protective gear, such as masks, face shields, gowns. These extra precautions are to best protect our patients and staff.

  • Appointments will be spaced out to allow for physical distancing between patients. That might mean less flexibility for scheduling your appointment, but it will also reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.

  • Only the patient will be permitted to enter the office. Children may be accompanied by one adult. 

  • Washroom use will be restricted, so please plan ahead.

  • Our waiting room is no longer open to patients.

  • Plexiglass barriers have been installed at the reception desk.

  • Enhanced air filtration equipment has been installed in each operatory.

Rest assured, all these procedures are designed to create the safest environment for you, other patients and our team.
